No such thing as bad weather, a get-outside mindset!
@rainorshinemamma Author of “There’s No Such Thing as Bad Weather”

Thank you for listening to the Hey Shayla podcast!  Here, we love to learn new things and decide what works for us and our family.. We're the moms that support instead of judge and know there are many ways to do something right.  I'd love to connect on Instagram @heyshayla

Living in Minnesota, it’s COLD. I’m talking colder than the South Pole sometimes! We basically write off winters, we even have skyways in the city so we never have to actually go outside. So when I started to read No Such Thing as Bad Weather - A Scandinavian Mom’s Secrets for Raising Healthy, Resilient and Confident Kids, my world was turned upside down when she said you can (and should) go play outside in any temperature. Her motto from growing up in Sweden is “There’s no such thing as bad weather only bad clothing”. So I started my mission to invest in gear to GET OUTSIDE!

Linda McGurk was SO fun to talk to and answer ALL of my questions like what is a balaclava? How do you buy lambs wool to insulate your stroller and a bunting bag to keep your baby warm? And IS there TOO cold?
